The importance of teaching kids empathy

Empathy is probably the core, the most important of human traits. Without empathy you can’t have a meaningful relationship. Relationships are predicated on the capacity to understand the ‘other’. Empathy is also related to putting a break on aggression – the first step of conflict resolution.  Yet how much time do we spend in developing empathy in students?
